406 Squadron RCAF Alliance

ARTICLE I - Title

The Organization shall be known as: 406 Squadron (North Bay) Royal Canadian Air Force Alliance

ARTICLE II - Principles and Policy

The organization shall be democratic, non-sectarian and shall not be affiliated or connected directly or indirectly with any political party or organization. The organization shall stand for loyalty to the reigning Sovereign and to Canada and the principles of democratic and ordered government, for a National and united spirit, and for strong and united comradeship among all who have served in Military or Civil Aviation. The organization shall be an all-ranks organization insofar as its military or ex-military members are concerned, and no member shall be entitled to precedence for any reason other than by virtue of elected standing in the organization. The organization shall be governed by the adoption of By-Laws.

ARTICLE III - Aims and Objectives

The general aims and objectives of 406 Squadron (North Bay) are contained in Letters Patent and in the detailed By-Laws of 406 Squadron. The primary aims of 406 Squadron, not in order of priority, are as follows:

1. To provide a venue for and maintain unity of purpose among Members,especially among retired and serving members of the Royal Canadian Air Force and its successors.
2. To promote an effective military air component to meet the needs of Canada's National Defence.
3. To work with the RCAF Benevolent Fund and other veteran's organizations toward the attainment of their objectives.
4. To participate in programs designed to develop the well being of our Nation's youth, particularly the Royal Canadian Air Cadets.
5. To contribute to local charitable projects, especially those related to the young.
6. To participate in local memorial services which recognize the sacrifices made by the Canadian Military Forces in the defence of freedom.

ARTICLE IV - Head Office and Place of Business

The Head Office and Place of Business of 406 Squadron (North Bay) RCAFA shall be:
406 - First Avenue West, North Bay, Ontario P1B 3C4

ARTICLE V - Board of Directors

The Board of Directors, elected annually, consists of the President, First Vice-President, Second Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary.
